Today we got up and were excited to see Mt. Rushmore. We started driving to Rushmore and there was a good view point on a hill when we went through a tunnel. When we got to Rushmore we got to the visitors center and got our stamps on our passports. Then we walk through all of the state flags and each had sign that said the state and the date it was sworn in as a state. Then we got to see the marvelous, artistic part of American History — Mt.Rushmore. We went and saw the video they had at the Memorial. Then we went on a trail that has great views of each President. We went and had lunch and also ate Thomas Jefferson’s TJ Vanilla ice cream that he created. I have a question — What President’s are on Mt.Rushmore? After we got our Junior Ranger Badge. We have a lot of them now. Then after Rushmore we went through very narrow tunnels and went to Sylvan Lake and we walk around and got our shoes wet. Then me and my brother took our socks off and went in cold water. I slipped and fell on the wet bridge and got my socks and shoes muddy, but I didn’t fall in the lake. Then we went to the hotel and that was our day at Mt.Rushmore.
