Today we got up then left, after we ate breakfast. Then we went to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. There we went on our first hike on the Warner Point Trail. There we got to see the Metamorphic Rocks on the Black Canyon. Then we stopped to make lunch on a picnic table, but it started to rain and a few minutes later it started to hail when only me and my dad were out there. After a few seconds it hailed super hard and we were all in the car. We ate in the car instead. Then we drove to a different viewpoint, and we went out to see the cool, jagged, lightning like streaks on the canyon walls. Then it started to hail again even harder this time. After a few minutes it started to snow. It was to cold to go anywhere in the park now. But me and my brother went out into the cold and made snowballs. Then we went and got our junior ranger badges, and played in the snow again. Then we drove to Glenwood Springs. We ate dinner and then went to our hotel, which has the world’s largest hot spring pool. So we went and swam in the pool. It was 90 degrees and the size of a football field. Towards the end it started to rain while we were swimming. So we got to swim in the rain. Then we went back to our room for the night.
