So the big Yellowstone trip and I got it confused with Yosemite but it was a great trip to Yellowstone. Here is my story about Yellowstone. So we went to the North Entrance and we went to see the geysers because we saw Mammoth Hot Springs the day earlier but we first went to Fountain Geyser Basin. We saw many different hot springs and geysers there. Then we went across the street and saw White Cone Geyser erupt, but it was a small one. The water didn’t go that high. Then we drove over to the Grand Prismatic Spring. It is cooler when you can see it from the air. You can’t see that many colors from the ground. Then we drove to Old Faithful. We stayed at the Old Faithful Inn for the night. We walked around that night and saw Old Faithful go off twice. We also saw some other geysers. My dad woke up early and saw Castle geyser erupt. We slept thru that.

The next day we headed over to the Canyon Village area where we were going to stay the next 2 nights. On the drive we saw more geysers, pools, and we saw the Mud Volcano. Then we got to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We saw the cool waterfall there. Then we went to the visitors center at Canyon Village. While we were waiting in the parking lot for someone to move someone backed up into our car. So we got to go visit the ranger station to file a report. That wasn’t very fun. Luckily our car wasn’t hurt that bad, mostly scratches.

The next day we drove the rest of the upper loop. We were at Tower Falls, and we were almost on the same trail as a bear. But luckily we weren’t. So we just got to see him from a distance. We also saw more waterfalls, and a petrified tree. We also got to climb all over this big rock formation called sheephearder’s cliff.

The next morning we got we got our junior ranger badges for Yellowstone. Then we got in the car and headed to Grand Teton National Park.
